My Wife loves it, sorry I bought it works to good - Hoover F7425-900 SteamVac V2 Widepath Upright Vacuum Well I had to call the company about a little leak in the top bottle that holds the water. They sent me a new wate...

I bought the V2 after a couple of payments to the professional truck mounted cleaning companies. They did an all right job, but nothing extraordinary. However they weren’t afraid to bill me at a very “professional” rate. At the advice of some friends, I decided to buy my own carpet machine. After looking around for a short while, I decided on the V2 mainly for the way it was neatly packaged, and for the rinse feature, and for the special that Sears was running at the time.

I got the machine home, put it together (quite simple), and started my practice session on the family room. I was very pleased. As others reviewers have mentioned, it does everything that it is supposed to do. My problem began on the second day when I started on the rest of the house. I was going through almost one full tank of detergent for every tank of water. I immediately returned the machine for a new one. The new machine worked flawlessly…for a while. After owning the machine for a year, the ratio of soap to water is getting worse. It’s a strange problem that sometimes is worse than others. I’ve simply adjusted to the flaw by diluting the detergent tank with a certain amount of water. In all fairness, I should probably take the machine in for repairs. Perhaps there is a simple fix for the problem.

Overall, I’m happy with the machine and it has more than paid for itself. The convenience of having it around when you need it is also very important.

One more thing, the upholstery attachment does wonders on our automobiles and my office furniture. The powered hand tool is a little bulky even for cleaning stairs. I use the non-powered upholstery tool for nearly all small jobs.
