Okay, it’s a vacuum, how excited can you get, and how much difference can there be between makes and models? A LOT. My fiance arrived at my house with her Rainbow vacuum, and we had a showdown between her vacuum and my new Hoover upright. I vacuumed my carpet with the Hoover, new bag and all, twice. Then I went over the same carpet with the Rainbow. WOW. The Rainbow picked up a ton of animal hair, (we have 3 dogs and 3 cats) as well as a bunch of dirt. I was REALLY surprised. The Rainbow did an excellent job, and actually had the carpet looking new! I am totally hooked on this thing, and look forward to vacuuming. Some people are put off by the water tank, but I like to actually see what comes out of the carpet. I’m always amazed! I like the thing so much I bought the carpet shampoo attachment. It works great too! In short, the Rainbow is by far the coolest vacuum ever made. If my fiance leaves me, the custody battle over the Rainbow will be hard fought!
