After doing some research, and actually trying out several vacuums in a store, I bought this Hoover in good faith.

Assembly was fairly easy, but some of the attachments don’t stay attached if you bump them or just don’t get them in quite right.

I was willing to overlook how heavy this machine is due to the great cleaning power it has. My carpets have never been cleaner, I couldn’t believe how much dirt and hair my old cleaner missed. That was until I had to empty the dirt cup… I pulled it out and dirt came out everywhere. You also must clean the main plastic filter during or after every use, or you loose all suction. I can’t help but think I need a vacuum just for cleaning my vacuum!

While using the hose, the whole vacuum fell on my foot, ouch! So much for a long reaching hose, I didn’t even make it away from the vacuum!

The hose did have good suction though, and it was easy to clean my sofa, chairs, and other areas above ground level that my previous powerless vacuum had not been able to clean.

The powered pet hair cleaning tool is a joke though, somehow it lost suction in all the fancy moving brush technology, and did a lousy job on my stairs.

The power cord wraps up very low, I found this to be a pain while vacuuming as you must hold it out of the way, and have to squat to the floor to store the cord.

Also, after only using about 5 times it developed a strange rattle. I will be returning it, and not replacing it with the same model.
