What a horrible vacuum cleaner! After just 6 months of use, I sold it for $25 in a garage sale just to get rid of the thing. First, the spinning dust brush, although possibly a good idea, is a horrible design. The end of the handle pops off, the telescoping handle is hard to collapse/extend, the dusting part of it needs to bend to reach the top of fan blades, etc., and it keeps coming loose from the holding canister while you’re vacuuming. Second annoying thing I noticed was the weight. This vacuum cleaner is heavy which I could probably live with if it propelled easily when I vacuumed but it doesn’t. By the time I finished vacuuming the house, my shoulder ached (I have a smallish house, not a large one). I would have to rate the suction as only fair at best. I bought this vacuum to replace a 5 year old Hoover Windtunnel (great vacuum) that had a cracked dust cup & would have cost $40 to repair. I figured I’d just by a new vacuum on sale. You’d think that after having used a 5 yr old vacuum w/ a cracked dust cup that when using a brand new vacuum, all kinds of stuff that hadn’t gotten picked up by the old vacuum would come up. Nope. I honestly have to say that the old, cracked Hoover sucked up at least as much as the brand new Eureka. And then there’s the reset button on the side. I’m not sure what trips it but I’d start vacuuming and get no suction at all then find out that I needed to push the reset button. I thought I’d use this vacuum cleaner instead of sweeping on my tile floors because it has a bare floor function where the brush doesn’t spin. Nope again. Just like regular vacuum cleaners w/o a bare floor function, it sucks up some of the dirt but kicks some back behind it. The small attachment brush thing was (note: I said “was”) a nice feature. I used it to vacuum up the couch cushions etc., until it quit. The suction went down to nothing & the brush stopped spinning. That was the last straw. I threw it in the garage sale pile. So after 6 months, I lost over $100 (I bought it on sale for around $130-ish) but at least I don’t have to deal w/ the aggravation, lack of good cleaning, and shoulder pain anymore.
