I had high hopes for my shark when I bought it. At first it worked great-the turbo head really cleaned our rugs. But then I discovered the shark’s fatal flaw: If you turn the deluxe floor attachment sideways to vacuum under furniture, like your bed for example, the wheels come off. Now I know why the thing comes with such a long warranty. I am currently on my 4th deluxe floor attachment. I have gone round and round with Euro Pro. The last time I called them it cost $36 for the phone call to Montreal because you can’t ever get through on their 800 number. They eventually sent me all new parts for my vacuum, which is useless since I only needed the deluxe floor attachment. Also, it takes weeks for them to ship the replacement parts so you’re without a vacuum for a long time. If it weren’t for its poor construction this would be a great vacuum.

Update 11/1/03

I’ve finally had it with this vacuum and we’re getting a new one. Since it has a huge warranty I thought I’d get smart and stockpile the turbo brushes so I’d call every couple of months and get a new one (they don’t track this stuff by computer). They sent me a brush with a slightly different design that worked for a really long time and I thought it would last forever but broke today, as did the brush I had gotten after it as a contingency. Time to get a new vacuum.
