I saw infomercials on steam cleaners and interested if they really worked. I was at CVS and found one on clearance. Mine has everything but the measuring cup shown in the picture.

The package

You get the steamer, an extension from the nozzle and a second one for attachments. There are 3 brushes and 1 is metal for grill. There is a window cleaning attachment and a floor moping attachment. It comes with a large and sturdy carry bag.

The steamer

You pour about a glass and a half of water into the steamer. You then plug it in. The steamer heats the water and eventually produces steam. You will have hot water come out a bit before the steam. There is a red light that remains on telling you it is working.

Unlike other posters here, I have never had any issues with heating. I’ve experienced nothing but consistancy.

The pressure of the steamer

While I have never had a cap pop off, I’ve had the hoses blow off. When this happens, the hose go straight down causing no injury. I also got a minor burn last week when I thought the steamer had cooled off. One must depressurize the unit no matter the temp of the water. It takes about 20 minutes before one can put this away.

Cleaning capabilities

I can clearly tell the difference when I use the steamer. Everything is shiner. I believe this to be the case because the water kills the germs and disinfects where a household cleaner doesn’t have the same effect.

I use this to clean windows, mirrors, tiles, mold, soap scum , counter tops, sinks, ovens, etc. I use it almost everywhere.

I have little to no harmful cleaning products that will not hurt my 2 year old but to the ecosystem. I am also saving a lot of money by eliminating the need for all those over priced cleaning products.
