The Oreck XL2 is the second Oreck I have purchased. I like the quality of Oreck. Every so often the company runs a promotion and you can get the XL model for half price. It’s a good deal.

I like the suction. I have tried other vacuums and didn’t like the suction power. The Oreck picks up everything. There is nothing I hate worse when vacuuming than to have a vacuum not pick up the dirt. This one really does.

I would definately purchase another Oreck in the future, even though my first one died after about 5 years. My mother had hers which had a broken motor after 2 years fixed, and it cost quite a bit.

It’s true the bags are expensive, about $20 for 6 bags.

I only change bags a few times a year and it’s not so expensive for me, but for people with big houses it might be expensive.

I can say they are professional grade, a motel I know of uses the OReck for the commercial use of cleaning their motel rooms. They do a great job.

If you are considering a vacuum based on great suction then consider the Oreck. It’s also lightweight. IT is also sometimes offered as a discount at half price through the sales flyers that come from companies you buy from. Ex: I was able to get mine through Avon because they offered a discount to representatives.

Also, you want something that can give your floor a superbly cleaned look. The Oreck does it every time. They have made the best vacuum for your buck. Don’t buy cheaper versions, they don’t work.

The only thing that may be as good or better, I don’t know, is the dyson. They say it has great suction. But I just love the suction power of my OReck. Besides, who can afford $500 for a dyson?
