Bought this vacuum when my Bissell, which was 2 years old, had a broken foot pedal.

First the good points: The vacuum is lightweight and very easy to push. It seems to do an adequate job of cleaning carpets. The folding handle may be handy if you want to store it in a closet with clothes hanging above it.

There are a couple of really silly features of this vacuum: The hush switch - the difference in noise is extremely subtle, you are still not going to be able to vacuum with someone sleeping nearby. The power boost switch - why would you want to vacuum with less than full power on an everyday basis? It would seem to me that a “reduce power” switch would be more useful possibly for when you want to vacuum scatter rugs. I question even this.

Now for the negative: The carpet pile adjustment does not seem to be what I have had on previous vacuums. I have a fairly high pile plush carpet which, on other vacuums, required me to use a medium high setting, I have to use this one on the lowest setting. While the dirt container is easy to remove, it is difficult to get all the dirt out. The first filter tends to collect lint and fuzz and the only way to remove lint is to reach in and pull it off the screen. Yuck! My main problem however is the the HEPA filter. The screen lets way too much fuzz and dust through. The instructions say to tap the dirt container until no more dust falls out. That could take a lot of tapping! Also, fuzz collects on the filter and doesn’t come out. That could cause the vacuum to lose a lot of suction over a short period of time. Also, the filter costs $36 to replace, so you’re not going to want to that very often. My Bissell had a much better method of filtering and while it had three filters, they were much easier to clean.

Conclusion: would probably not buy this vacuum again. There are much better ways of filtering - namely the method Bissell uses.
