My Hoover is the best Hoover! Do you own a Hoover? If not, you certainly should! Let me tell you why! This is the best vacuum in the world!

When choosing a vacuum for my household I must have these features:

-A Headlight. I have a little one who walks around in his walker and dark carpet. I want to see if there is anything sharp on the floor! This is also good for seeing those pennies that hide so well and can ruin a vacuum in a matter of seconds.

-An Upholstery cleaner. I have 4 inside dogs, so the furniture needs to be vacuumed often.

-Light weight. I vacuum almost daily, so I don’t want to have to tote a 50 pound machine in and out of the closet everyday.

-Inexpensive. A new baby, means a budget. We have to consider cost on everything.

-At Least a 6 month warranty. I use the vacuum often and I can’t afford a new vacuum every 3 months. I want something that guarantees it will work for at least 6 months!

Everything about this vacuum is what I expect of a vacuum.

Well, it has the headlight that I like. It is a nice covered headlight. It allows me to see every part of the carpet I vacuum.

Not only does it have the upholstery cleaner, but it has other attachments also! It has the extension piece which allows you to make the hose longer. It has the dusting brush! This is great for the curtains or lamps that need dusting. It also has a crevice tool. This is great for getting in those corners where things like to hide! The upholstery cleaner works great! It gets the dog hair off the couch and off the dogs. One of them likes to be vacuumed, so we use it on her also. The attachments are simple to use. All you so is plug the hose into it’s outlet and then you hook the extension to it. After connecting the extension you choose your attachment.

It is light weight for sure! I don’t mind taking it out daily!

It was inexpensive. It was only $89.00 at Walmart. Not only was it cost worthy, but is has a one year warranty. This is so great! I hope that it will last longer than a year, but if not we will be able to have it replaced! I am so pleased!

That isn’t everything. There is more to this vacuum that I love! It has a multiple height adjustment. The handle moves up and down with you as you vacuum. I love this in my hallway because I can bring the handle up high so that I can get all the way against the wall.

It has settings for bare floors and carpets. You can move it to high for thick carpet like the carpet in the bedrooms that never gets walked. You can move it to a lower setting for rugs, or to the lowest for bare floors. I have had bad experiences with bare floor vacuum cleaners. They seem to not want to pick up all the dirt and I end up sweeping anyway. This one does great! I can do my vacuuming and sweeping all at once!

The cord is 20 feet long. This is just perfect for me. I don’t like the really long cords that get tangles up easily. I also don’t like the short ones that you have to unplug every time you move to a different corner. Twenty inches is just perfect for me!

The carpet cleaning part is 12 inches. This means that you do 12 inch rows at a time when vacuuming. This also is fine with me. Anything bigger would be too big. Anything smaller would take up more time!

The Hoover Soft and Light Vacuum has the disposable bags. They are easy to find. In 5 months I haven’t had a problem finding them any where. They are simple to change. All you have to do is unzip the bag and then take the bag off. Get a new bag has a piece of cardboard on it that fits right over the hole that sucks up the dirt. It is so incredibly easy. As long as I change the bag before it gets too full, I never have any problems with the dirt and other particles spilling out.

This vacuum has held up to my daily vacuuming for 5 months extremely well. It is still running as great as it did the first day. I would recommend vacuum to anyone! It would be a great house warming gift! It has been thrown into the closet and is a little scratched up now, but it still looks great. The hose hasn’t gotten clogged yet like many I have had. The attachments haven’t broken yet and my carpet looks wonderful. It fluffs up like new after it’s daily vacuuming!

A reader brought to my attention that the on/off switch is in a bad place. I have to say that it is a little hard to get to. It is behind where the cord wraps around. Once you unwrap the cord it is easily reached. It isn’t a problem for me, though. I find it somewhat like a child safety feature. The on/off switches are much easier when they are near the foot. This one would be a little harder for a child to get to. For those of you who are concerned with the ease of the on/off switch, I may recommend that you choose another model.
