This is the most poorly designed machine I have ever seen. It is continually clogging both filters and the hepa filter becomes filled with dirt quickly causing loss of all suction. I replaced it with the dyson dc17, which is awesome. Do not buy this vacuum.

I love this vacuum!! I decided on a Hoover simply because the last Hoover I had died - but only after 10 years of great use. The WindTunnel 2 sounded like it had everything and more so I decided to give it a try. I am glad I did, it works great! I love the bagless feature and the filter is nice too, never having to replace it - even better! Serious suction with this machine. I do not use carpet powders/deodorizers so I did not experience anything as was mentioned in the other review on this site. The self-propelled feature is different, something I am not used to but may come to appreciate considering this vacuum is not exactly light weight. I bought this vacuum at Sam’s Club for $269.88 and it has been well worth the purchase price.

Bought this vacuum specifically because I have shedding animals. Have had it less than 6 months and it is in the shop! Circuit board is burned out! Attachments keep falling off back. Filter is clogged…messy to empty. $300 purchase. Wish I had found this web site in October. The owner of the vacuum repair shop told us that bagless vacuums are way less reliable and the newer units like this one are so sensitive that dust (of all things!) will often be the culprit in machine failures.

Cons: That stupid selfcleaning filter thats does not self clean it cloggs.
Bought WindTunnel™ 2 Bagless Upright and its a good vac tell the self cleaning filter that turns stops turning becouse its cloged all up, took the first one back thinking it was defective and this one does same thing vac a room and turning filter stops and its so clogged up that you have to bring it outsde before removing the dirt cup or all that mess will be in your house as we found out the hard way.

Do not buy this vacuum, unless you enjoy throwing $300+ in the trash.
The suction is impressive for about 10 minutes. That is about how long it takes the self cleaning hepa filter to clog.
All the dust and dirt vacuumed up ends up in the filter, not the dust container. The filter will be completely clogged, and the dust container relatively empty.
Eventually, ( 2 weeks for me ) the self cleaning filter will quit working completely, because it cannot turn, do to the large amount of dirt clogged in it.
DO NOT BUY !!!

I’m not surprised reading the other reviews - I wish I had read them before purchasing the Wind Tunnel 2. HEPA filter clogs and stops working after a couple of weeks. After several trips outside to remove the clogs of dust and pet hair the filter stopped rotating permanently. The repair shop turned it around in 1 day but I’m fully expecting to get to know the guy at the counter on a first name basis. I wonder why they discontinued this model?
It’s unfortunate because when it is cleaned and working properly it does a great job; very powerful. Also, the wand works great for cleaning other surfaces.
Never a Hoover again !!!!!

Cons: Not made well!
It was working for the first 9 months and then all downhill. The workmanship and cheap plastic didn’t hold up and the front lower housing broke. Went to Hoover’s service center or service rep and they told me that it broke from miss use and that to repair it l would be better off throwing it away and buying a new one. They sell Vac’s. And they went further telling me that this model was a problem anyway.
Bottom line l have to duct tape it together.
