Contrary to the other opinions I’ve read here so far, I for one am sorely dissappointed in my Bissell Spot Lifter for the following reasons:

1. In barely 5 minutes it’s out of power, never enough time to fully soak up the water from my carpet after spot cleaning.

2. It takes forever to recharge and after a few uses, it doesn’t seem to able to get full suction power again. I even took it to my service supplier and he just laughed saying this product barely charges when new!

3. The tank is way too small to hold enough cleaner.

While I understand the Bissell is meant as a quickie spot lifter, it’s power problems really limit the cleaning to one small little stain. If you’re looking to use it for pet stains or for large spills, I don’t recommend it at all.

I normally love Bissell products, have their larger steam cleaner and it’s far more worth to me now to lug that out then rely on the useless Spotlifter in my closet!
