I have two furry canines: Bouvier and Giant Schnauzer…. I bought the DC07 Animal in early 2003, because I could not find any other vacuum that was able to handle my pet hair issues. I previously owned a Kirby which was quite effective. However, I gave it away when moving across the country. I was most pleased with it as well as the service. . . . but alas, the warranty ran out (2 years) and it wore itself in late 2006.

I backslid. Economy and curiosity led me to that Red thing called Infinity that I bought in January 2007. Needless to say, I’ve had two of those over the course of 7 months. Watch out when the red light turns on. It’s a hopeless cause. Throw it away. It is beyond redemption. It might work great…. to those of you who never experienced a Dyson. But it doesn’t even compare. So I reluctantly ran down to a well known retail outlet and bought the DC-17 Animal. Turned it on and watched as the canister practically grew hair continuously without a motion. The carpet was several shades lighter after many months. It made my hair stand on end watching the amount of the “stuff” that was coming out and into the canister.

You will not be disappointed if you invest in one. Do NOT BUY Infinity!!! Take it from one who has owned TWO not ONE.
