Dealing with in home sales I have had to deal a lot with the HEPA filter system on several different brands of cleaners. From what I have seen here is the scoup on this particular cleaning system.

Panasonic has always made a very affordable, fairly durable unit. This one follows suit with the standard 24 foot cord, the adjustable head for raising and lowering the distance above the carpet, the swivel wheels on the back and the on-board attachments which i find very handy. The motor is rated over 10.5 which basically means you have all the power you need to move the amount of air required for good cleaning.

But the real draw to this particular unit is the HEPA filter. Basically, it is a 7 stage filtering process using several different types of filters, and capturing air pollutants right down to the smallest particle or micron. As far as I can see it works very well, and i have tested and played with one myself. Holding a light directly above most cleaning systems will reveal to you just exactly how much is held and how much is blown out the back side. Well, this unit does a very good job in that respect, and i could see it helping out a family with allergy problems and things of that sort.

If you are looking for a great system, or your family does suffer from allergies and air born diseases, this might be the answer you are looking for. Either way, its priced well and will do a great job cleaning for you in and around the house. I will leave you with this suggestion though. Research the HEPA filter system for yourself and get your own opinion on it based from that. There are other methods out there for air purification including a water based systems that works very well. So there is no better tool in shopping than education, so get out and hit a book or two, you should find it will help you make a good sound decision with your hard earned money.
