I thought Dirt Devil had a good reputation and that any vacuum with a 12 amp motor would pick up dirt. Sigh. The Dirt Devil MVP does, at best, an adequate job of picking up dirt, although the 12 amp motor makes a very disagreeable level of noise.

The on board attachments were a good idea, but mine keep falling off, and now all but one sit on the closet floor where I go retrieve them if I need them. The cleaner is bulky and I am unable to clean under my bed or in other tight spaces. I also have a section of tile flooring for which I have had to buy a separate vacuum cleaner. The power brush on the MVP will not turn off and simply scatters dirt on a tile floor.

I wish I had done a better job of researching vacuums before I made this purchase. It is an adequate vacuum cleaner, but there are much better products on the market.
